Attorney Profiles

Timothy J. Bartzos is an experienced attorney, having represented both individuals and corporate entities in a wide variety of contexts.  Mr. Bartzos represents those who have suffered personal injury in areas such as automobile, premises, and products liability, in addition to defending personal injury claims on behalf of insurance carriers and self-insured corporate entities.
 
Mr. Bartzos is also experienced in criminal defense litigation in both state and municipal court matters.  Mr. Bartzos has acted as either a municipal prosecutor and/or public defender in five separate municipalities throughout Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties.
 
Mr. Bartzos has extensive experience in educational law.  He has represented the Bergen County Board of Education and the Secaucus Board of Education in a wide range of contexts; including contract law, labor law and tort claim defense litigation.  Further areas of litigation practice include wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, student discipline, supervision and due process rights.  He has also participated with negotiating both union and inter-local service contracts and agreements for the Board.
 
Mr. Bartzos is a graduate of Fordham University School of Business (B.S. 1986) and Seton Hall University Law School (J.D. 1989).  After graduation, he served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Edward J. Van Tassell, Law Division, Superior Court of New Jersey. 

Mr. Bartzos is very active in the community and provides pro bono legal services.  He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court of New Jersey and before the United States Supreme Court.
